Care tips

Care tips

The origin of this plant species is in Southeast Asia, the Philippines and Australia. The phalaenopsis orchid grows in nature especially in trees, without extracting nutrients from the trees. Except in trees, this orchid grows in the wild on highly air permeable soil, such as humus, and on rocks and in rock crevices, usually close to rivers and streams.

Sunlight

Place the Phalaenopsis in a light place, but not directly in the sun. When leaves turn yellow, this can be a sign of an excess of direct sunlight. Furthermore, the Phalaenopsis does not like draught.

Water

Pour the water on the earth in the pot, not in the heart of the Phalaenopsis. The water must be at room temperature. Preferably give water early in the day. It is better to immerse the pot in a bucket for a few minutes.

Temperature

The Phalaenopsis feels most comfortable at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C.
